Thu 04.10.08: Update ALL Global Address Lists
Lets say you make a LOT of changes to your exchange organization and you don't want to wait until the default time to have the system generate a new global address book. In Exchange 2007 there is not a way in the GUI to do this, you have to use PowerShell.Here is the command you can use in powershell that will update (re-generate) all the global address lists in your organization.
Get-GlobalAddressList | Update-GlobalAddressList
If you want to only update the lists in a specific organization, you can add the -DomainController attribute to the Get-GlobalAddressList command.
